چکیده
: In December 2019, the new virus, COVID-19, emerged and led to a pandemic respiratory acute disease. Almost all countries have experienced different rates of morbidity mortality. These differences can be attributed factors such as diagnostic test capacity for COVID-19 health system efficiency. Besides between related management, patients represent diverse range clinical symptoms, from outpatient admitted intensive care unit (ICU) due severity symptoms. To gain deeper insights into disparities in presentations, epidemiological studies reported risk old age, male sex, underlying chronic diseases diabetes, inflammatory cardiovascular diseases, which bearing on susceptibility COVID-19. addition these factors, molecular mechanism involved virus entry process has been under investigation. Apart well-known protein called ACE2 (angiotensin-converting enzyme 2), plays receptor role another essential this pathway is TMPRSS2 (transmembrane protease, serine 2). This protease crucial effective membrane integration target cell. affect infection mortality rate Thus, it seems that understanding help better management by designing inhibitors drugs. Given variants gene, are associated with people exposed severe forms disease identified before deterioration adopt appropriate therapeutic approaches. Therefore, study focused levels interactions severity.

متن کاملRETN Gene Polymorphisms as Risk Factor in Diabetic Patients with Covid-19 Infection
People with diabetes mellitus (DM) represent a population group that is at high risk of developing a poor prognosis for COVID-19. Having diabetes increases the risk of serious illness, ICU stay, and death from COVID-19. The current study included 150 participants with diabetes, 100 patients of whom had COVID-19 (46 male, 54 female), and 50 had diabetes only (28 male, 22 female), aged between 37...
